    Favorite thing: CHIQUINQUIRA: This is localized to 107 Kms from Tunja with an altitude of 2150 Mts and a temperture of 17 oC was founded in 1586. This place was choiced by the indigenous for the education theirs priestes. Your basilica is one of the most important of Colombia , keep the miraculous picture of "Nuestra se?ora de chiquinquira".

    DUITAMA:To 55 Kms from Tunja with an altitude of 2590 Mts and a temperture of 15 oC is localized very near to paipa , is an importent trader city is famous by your museum of art religion localized in the old "Hacienda de san rafael" that keep little religion images ,carvings and pictures of the colony.

    TUNJA: Is the capital of Boyaca with an altitude of 2782 Mts and an average temperture of 13 oC and a population of 235000 people , you can arrive there by airplane arriving to Paipa or by car , it's localized to 145 KMs from Bogota.

    Also you can visit other beautiful towns suach as Raquira, Mongui,Iza,tibasosa everything famous for your nice people and handicrafts

    Favorite thing: BOYACA
    The best time for coming from November to February if you want a hot weather. But if you want a period of rainny you can come In the other months. The weather is generally cold but in some months is less cold.

    When you go to Guatavita in January you can see events of bike over the lake like ski and windsorf.
    If you want to enjoy the best typical food (fritanga) go to Sutamerchan (near Villa de Leiva, about 15 minutes by car).
    If you go to La Vega you can practice a lot sports dangerous, like paragliding, rafting, etc.

    Near Villa de Leyva you will find desert of Candelaria which is 7 kilometers beyond Raquira. It is famous for the Monasterio de La Candelaria. Raquira is small town, where you can buy typical craftsmanship like musical instruments, pictures, clothes, "ruanas" ( necessary for wrap up purposes).

    10 kilometres from Paipa is "Pantano de Vargas" which was scenery of the key battles for Gran Colombia Independence ( 1819). Additionally you will find the "Monumento a Los Lanceros" which was erected here to commemorate the battle.
