Bogota Old Town 14 (Govt. Offices)
Plaza Bolivar and its cloe surrounding is also home to many of the Govt. Ministries. During my walk around this place my daypack was searched (just as a normal security check and no questioning).
Bogota Old Town 13 (Coloful Chuch)
At the other end from the Plaza Bolivar within La Candelaria, I saw this colorful church with an interior that matches the color outside. Entrance free for all churches in the old town.
Bogota Old Town 10 ( transport)
The old town is relatively a larger area and to walk around it takes time. That's why apart from taxi, smaller colectivos operate in the area.
Bogota Old Town 9 (Modern Infill)
And at some part of the town you also find the imposing structure of modern highrise. But these establishment are usually built / rebult at the edge of the old town,.
Bogota Old Town 7 (Narrow Alleys)
The old town has also its share on narrower stoned streets built on the hill with preserved colonial houses.
Bogota Old Town 6 (Traditional Plaza / Square)
The old town does not have many plaza or square in it. But here one I found while walking around in the morning and it seems like this is preserved and lead to the narrower streets of the old town.
Bogota Old Town 5 (Universities)
There are several public and private universities inside the old town area which gives it a feel of of student area. The picture shows one of them.
