This is a truly unique place located about 20 minutes outside of Bogota in Chia. It is absolutely worth the trip. It is a steakhouse with a very extensive menu of many other things as well. It holds about 1000 people. The restaurant is decorated eclectically with things all over. Each table has a name and after certain point in the evening, everyone starts dancing. It becomes a real party!

Favorite Dish: Beef, beef and more beef.
Arepa de chocolo-Corn meal with a melted white cheese inside.

This was an incredible experience. This restaurant serves a traditional Colombian menu in a traditional setting. It was constructed in an old country home (hence the name). The food was fantastic and the general manager was a instrumental to our visit. She explained all of our dishes to us and even explained techniques. This truly was a special place and a must see.

Favorite Dish: Ajiaco- A traditional chicken and potato soup served with capers and avocado on the side.
    Homemade Chorizo ser with lime.

This was a beautiful restaurant in the old village called La Candelaria. It had a charming antique feel. We ate lunch here and stayed for about 2 and half hours drinking wine. It was so relaxing and enjoyable. Great area artistic area as well.

Favorite Dish: Patacon- Smashed and fried plantain served with hogao and gucamole.
Sancocho- Traditional chicken or seafood soup. You are given broth and a side plate of chicken, avocado, plantains, rice and hogao to mix in yourself.
