According to taxi driver (and as always, they are the best source of information) Mango's was the place (it was in 03/2005) so I went there on day of carnaval.
Big and lively place.
Alternatives are in Zona Rosa, but those are more like eating & dancing places.

Every resident of the city will tell you that this is the most upscale club in their city, and it certainly will not disappoint. The music is a mix from hip-hop to salsa, waitstaff is dressed in cowboy attire, entry is $15,000 pesos. The place is more like a large bar, as there is no dance floor per se, and everyone is dancing between the tables. There are numerous performance acts that are superbly executed. Quality of women is extraordinary, and might take your breath away ;)
The only drawbacks are that it is located very far and that it appears to attract shallow people with a drive to impress each other (which is inescapable with any upscale club). Nonetheless, you will enjoy every minute you spend here.

If you like to spend $ and see midgets, go to Mangos. It´s the hot place. Club Blue is 5000 to get in ($2.50) and includes 2 beers it´s a standard club.
If you want to go to a hole in the wall Salsa club with great atmosphere try Tibiri. No sign, just stairs to teh basement. It´s on Street 70 and 48D? I think. It´s known as a dive with the best music.
