Ibague is home a well renowned Conservatory of Music and stages several music and folklore festivals. In March there were groups from all over Colombia with lots of free events in the plazas and parks.

There's nothing much to do here except for the nightlife!! Monday to Thursday everybody just got up very early, go to work and get back to bed around 9-10!! But Fridays and Saturdays are so wild, find some locals and follow them to a latino club.
Or hanging around the downtown where you'll find all the historical places, government buildings and shopping street full with clothing, food and local handicraft shops. The biggest and most sophisticated shopping mall here is the "La Quinta"
