Plaza de Toros (Bull stadium)

The the stadium is mainly a bull riding place were many go and pay to see people ride bulls. Now everone has heard of these bull riding rings, however the place is very safe and a thrill is instantly acheived. Also Palmira makes a good job in maintaining the stadium and keeping it open for fellow thrill or bull riding fans.

The BEST water park in Palmira

Sugar park or Parque de la Azucar

The water park is extremely fun and exciting. The park has two exciting bid tube slides and river to relax with inflatable tubes. Also it has a medium pool for kids with bidges and water shoots and more. Also the park has a tarzan shoot with extremely fun, but watch out the water is deep. However, dont worry the park has lots of secutiry and lifeguards. Also the park has a big pool for adults shown in the picture which is very fun for swimming, if you know how to. I had the best time with family and friends in the water park because it might not be the best water park, but it satisfied me for my stay in Palmira.

Unique Suggestions: If you visit the water park, you must eat a
1. a sachipapa( its a entree of fries and little peices of sausages with a creamy delcious sauce over it. The passover is very delicous and cheap too and available in the park in the restaurants or little shops.
2. Also you must eat a cholado which is a icee which is very delicous and cheap, but try to find a person who knows how to make it good. Because some cholados are different from others and taste differently, but there all good.
3. LASTLY> you must go on the tarzan swing ..OMG!! it is very FUNNN!!!

~~~~HACIENDA SANTA BARBARA ~~~~
This little part of the city is the newest and most beauiful place of the city..you can imagine. The city is a like little town with friendly peoiple, safe to walk, so calm, its almost like a calm farm, but no stinky animals. The place ia historic place with dates back to colonial times and it maintains it roots with its great new architecture. Also it is also close to a functioning sugar cane plant, where it is open and free for tours. The town is located at the exits to Cali and is very well known by Palmira.
Hacienda colonial, de corredores abiertos, presentan un espacio donde funcionó un trapiche de caña para la elaboración de panes de azúcar, perteneció a Francisco Rivera Escobar, hoy pertenece a la familia López y sus terrenos están cultivados de caña, ubicada hacia las afueras de la ciudad por la salida a Cali.
Fun Alternatives: ~~AEROPUERTO INTERNACIONAL DE PALMASECA~~
Also u can visit the airpoot which a combination of tours, site seeing, shopping and more
Ubicada en el corregimiento de Palmaseca, a 15 Km. Del perímetro urbano, cuenta con muelle internacional y nacional, con buenas pista de aterrizaje y carreteo, considerado como uno de los mejores del país, fue inaugurado en 1971, con autopista que lo comunica con Cali, Yumbo y El Cerrito.
THE BEAUTIFUL PARK!!!
~~PARQUE DE BOLIVAR~~
This park is located in the center of the city, where most of the government buildings are and shops and stalls from local businesses. This park is beautiful, surrounded by the mayorship, cathedral and other great little stores and places to eat.
Nuestro Parque de Bolívar tomo este nombre en el año de 1947 y el Club de Leones colocó una estatua de nuestro prócer libertador, luego para la década de los 70 empezó a ser conocida a nivel nacional como la plaza roja por ser un gran fortín liberal, donde muchos aspirantes a la presidencia vienen a tratar de medir sus aspiraciones.
Unique Suggestions: 1. YOU must buy and eat a cholado which many little ice cream cars are aways selling. THEY ARE DELICOUS ICE CREAM OR ICES THAT ARE VERY CHEAP AND KNOWN IN PALMIRA.
2. Must ride on a horse carriage because are so nice, good,friendly people and horses and low prices.
Fun Alternatives: CAMP ( CENTRO ADMINISTRATIVO MUNICIPAL – PALMIRA )
Edificio de arquitectura moderna donde funciona actualmente la Alcaldía con sus dependencias y el Consejo Municipal. Esta ubicada a un costado del Parque Bolívar o Plaza Principal.
THE GOVERNMENT BUILDING WITH VERY MODERN ARCHITECTURE!
