While surfing the web for restaurants to enjoy during my visit to Bogota, one that came up on several websites was Andres Carne de Res. When I asked my husband, who grew up in Bogota, and many of his friends who live in Bogota, the response was all the same...a laugh! If you want to spend WAY too much money and dine with other tourists and Bogotano snobs, than head over to Andres Carne. If you opt to "live like the locals" (my travel motto) than avoid the overpriced tourist trap!

GOLD OF MUSEUM
Funded in 1939, this museum from the Bank of the Republica; investigated the pre-columbian cultures since 500 a.C until the spanish Conquest in the XVl century.
It has 34.000 objects made in gold, 13.000 in ceramic and 800 in stone.
Made with mask, rings, bracelets, orejeras, narigueras and the daily instruments.

Parque Simon Bolivar
It is the largest park in Bogota, it is localized in downtown of the city, betwen main ways like Avenida El Dorado, calle 63, Avenida 68 and carrera 30, near to National University.
