When visiting the 'Caribe' have a meal with coconut rice (arroz con coco)!!!

As everybody knows, Colombia is very famous for its rich coffee. Really the best coffee in the world! You can get a 'tinto' at almost every corner for cheap prices.

An excellent choice for true Colombian food. Everything is delicious -- I went at least once on every trip to the city.
Not to be missed -- Capilla del Mar in Cartagena. Really fantansic seafood, this restaurant is owned by a French painter-turned-restaurant owner. Bouillabaisse!!!
Noches de Colombia in Bogota has good local cuisiine and folk music on a nightly basis. The fish stew is fabulous.

Fruit juices are popular in the Carribean coast. This stand in Santa Marta even had a sign in Hebrew. Israeli backpackers outnumber all nationalities in South America.

In Cartagena de Indias:- Carbon de Palo: the best steaks in South America!- Don Pedro: excellent Japanese and international food.
Andre's is a fun and unique restaurant, with a zany collection of all sorts of nic-nacks, signs, and furniture strewn about in a very unusual way.
