Dawn's Early Light: a place where staying up late makes little sense

Backpacking and nightlife really don’t mix unless your idea of nightlife is star gazing. There’s lots of opportunity for that with so few man made lights around. If you like to take photos as the sun goes down you’ll get plenty of chances for that too. But the real reason you won’t want to stay up late is to enjoy the early mornings when you’ll have your best chance for clear views and more photo opportunities.
Dress warm at dusk or dawn. When the Andean sun is not overhead it can get a bit nippy at 3800 meters.
