Bar Cheers: Swing in a hammock and sip some caipirinhas!
This is one of many seemingly identical bars on the main strip that face the beach, and is at the farrer end of the strip across from the Der Alte Fritz hotel.
BUT, aside from having swings at the bar (like many bars), it has 6 fantastic hammocks facing the beach- a great place to chill and have drinks day or nighttime. Just watch out for the electric swings at night when the lights are on.
The drinks are a bit more expensive, $3 for a caipirinha with rum or vodka (I really dont like the taste of aguardiente but its cheaper if you dont mind it!).
if you are hungry, get a pina hawaianna - a hollowed out pineapple with ice cream!
Dress Code: None- bathing suits are totally acceptable
Too many to name: Bar Huts
The many bar huts along the beach offered a great variety of drinks and music... You can spend the entire day just enjoying the sea and drinking, (it does not have to be alcohol, many offer fresh fruit drinks). You can also send out for any food you might want to have from any of the neighbor restaurants.
One day we decided to have a fruit salad for lunch, we asked one of the tenders at the bar, he sent out somebody for additional fruits he did not have and made us the best fruit salad I ever had!!!
Dress Code: Beach wear for most!!! Some dress with less!!!
