Actually in Cuyabeno you'll eat just in your hostel because there are no restaurants. But, when you take a walk in the jungle you can find many things to eat, and then in someones house you can cook it a little bit and taste it....really, is not bad at all!!!
After 1hour and a half driving, the Ranchero stopped at a small restaurant in a small village.
The food was already prepared, and was already on board the ranchero, it was packed in isolation boxes, the one everybody knows from the fast-food restaurants.
On the menu: chicken with rice and French fries. The food was not really hot, but as we al were hungry, it tasted anyway. Just the French fries were not so good.
But there were no complains at all, we all booked an adventure trip, so . . . .
The food was prepared by the Hot Spots crew.
In kind of difficult conditions, they managed to prepare excellent dishes.
In Ecuador lunch is the most important meal of the day. So it was always the biggest meal.
The meals always started with a good soup (with some potatoes in it), and we always ended with a fine dessert.
Conclusion: the boys in the kitchen did a fine job.
