The food in the lodge was quite good though we felt the portions weren't big enough. We are big eaters and it was an expensive portion of our trip so we expected more. The food was entirely enough and it even included snacks while you were hiking as well as drinking water so no complaints overall.
Though it was not the best meal by far the most interesting one was when we visited our native guide's home. We had a freshly caught fish steamed in a banana leaf along with a steamed plantain. This was the one night we got pretty filled as we then had our normal dinner at the lodge!
