Eventually you'll find yourself wanting to swim in the lake as it's hot and muggy. With some hours to kill you'll forget all about the piranhas and caymans in the lake. The latter aren't active during the day and the former are not looking at a full size human as prey. I found the dip quite refreshing and quite worth the danger.

No kidding . You might not make a fashion statement but you really should tuck your pants in your boots. One guy in our early group had some bullet ants crawl up his pants . They give a wicked sting...he learned the hard way!!
