    Tourist Office

by tejanasueca Written Jul 23, 2005

Favorite thing: There is a tourist office in Cayambe. It´s located in the big building in the square (the one in the pic, over on the left hand side). It´s open during business hours (9-5) mon-fri. I never had a chance to go, as I always worked those hours, but for a tourist, it will probably be worth to check it out.

    Internet Café

by tejanasueca Updated May 21, 2005

Favorite thing: The name of this Internet Café is AndyNet, and even if there are other internet cafés (one just around the corner), this one was our home away from home when we went to Cayambe. The location is great (right next to the plaza and the german owned café) and the people that work there are friendly (ask for Diego). In March of 2005, all internet cafés in Cayambe decided that the price for an hour should be $1, and there is also a reward system if you spend a lot of time on-line (you gain points for every minute you spend, which you can trade in for things such as recordable CDs, etc).

AndyNet is the most well-known internet café in town, and generally, if you tell a local you will be going to check your e-mail, they will assume that this is where you will be.

    ADDRESS:
    Bolivar Oeo-66 y Ascazubi

    DIRECTIONS:
If you stand on the main plaza, go to the northwest corner and walk down the street (not the market street). It will be about 20m down on your right, diagonally across the street from Banco de la Pichincha (has yellow signs).
