    This beer was good. So you remember to try, notice the label! The restaurant was not that crowded, perhaps many just like to try fast-food instead which comes at even cheaper price!

    Right in the middle of the Mariscal area is this steakhouse and it is often packed with both gringos and locals at weekends. The restaurant is just lower than ground level so if you get a table by the window, you can comtemplate the endless train of well-dressed legs striding towards the bars while you chomp on your steak. It is owned by an Italian New yorker with personality. Lots on the menu from steaks to salads to pastas. Check it out..

    My first day in Quito I wanted make full use of my time and ruched to the old town and entered basilica tower to have a panoramic view. The view is great no doubt. Wanted to try the cafe too. The Ecuadorian attendent was listening to music and was doing something of her own. I didn feel like to interrupt! Doesn matter if the cafe is popular or not, she will keep her job anyway! She served me a capuccino and I had an additonal hald an hour sipping it, enjoying the view and write few point on my diary.

    The day I came to this hostel, apart from good management I had to appreciate the terrace restaurant, not the cheapest or greatest meal whatever, but the breakfast wouldn be better anywhere nearby with a panoramic view of the old town. So this was my first morning and I started with juice and scrambled eggs. They have a good credit arrangement too! That is your bills (stay and accommodation)n are accumulated and you pay at the end of week or end of your stay. Read more about this hostel in the accommodation and other tips section eventually.

    On the both side of 'guayaquil' street in the old town there are plenty of cheap good value restaurants including fast food. All have very similar menu and prices. I tried Caravana few times.

    I did not want to try KFC. What's so special in it, anyway! But the price label just caught my attention, such a meal just for a dollar and half? Just look at the way of adaption. Rice and lentil soup with fried chicken. I came here two times more. O yes, tried couple of other menus too.
