Most of the cafes have live music, and you can just walk up and down the 444 steps of the hill, hopping from bar to bar.
These places are cheap, too! 80 cents for a beer is not uncommon!!

Most places recomended long pants, but somethimes they make exception on Tourist, they know that we are not used to the weather and will allow short or bermuda. Nightlife in Guayaquil is special, not the same of Quito or Baños or even Atacames but you can enjoy different kinds of places where you can dance or simply have fun.
My recommendation is Arthur’s Café at The Peñas Neighborhood. It’s a great place where you can enjoy the night sight with nice music, good food of course having a cool drink.
There are too many discos in Guayaquil but almost of them are privates. Suruba, Mondo Sport, Sante, La Sal are the bests, a little more expensive but with lot of fun and are not privates.
Don't forget that Suruba has Rave party all thursdays...
Guayaquil as all the big cities of the world is dangerous, so, if you need some transportation to any place, ask about your hotel or ask for a good taxi of the hotel.
I prefered Arthur's Cafe because it's very quiet, nice music, good food, live songs, special sight, and it's best place where you can enjoy a night with your love.

This is a little strip joint in downtown, the place looks smaller than it is from the outside but its quite shady both inside and out. Its located in 9 de Octubre which is a main street, when we got there there were some strange guys standing by the door which made me a bit uneasy about going in but it turned out they were security, You pay $10 USD per person to go in and get a free drink with admission.Once inside there is one stage which chairs around it where you can watch girls strip, they also have couches and a pool table. Girls will come up to you asking for drinks and dances. Dances are $30 Usd per dance which lasts about 15 minutes... the girl will promise all types of things but when you go in the room where "the action happens, the door is cracked open and she asks you for money to do more things. They girls the are on average 6 out of 10 but i saw one which was a solid 10, the one I got a dance form was a 6.5. The places is shady most of the clients are shady but i never felt in danger in any way, the girl did warn me that I should go with a taxi in front of the place or one recommended by the security as some taxi drivers have part time jobs as thieves.

This strip joint has some really hot girls working in it, I was surprised how good most of them looked. I went on a Saturday night and it was packed iwth guys, there were probably 30 girls there dancing on poles and doing what strippers do. They also give provate dances for $30 bucks which I guess you can imagine what can happen there ( I didnt get one I just took down the info to post it here). Table daces are about 6 bucks each. The girls are smoking hot but they are all also prostitutes, their main goal is to get you to take them out to have sex. They offered me to go out for like 80 - 100 bucks, I refussed all of them but as I mentioned you will get one after the other offering you dances and telling you what else you can do with her. The place is pretty big and comfortable, its not very classy but its better than I thought it would be. I recomend checking it out. The cover is $15 with a drink included and the whiskey was $7.00 USD per drink.

This club is located in the Urdesa area, its really well decorated, the music is great, its upscale and there are lots of pretty girls there. You will find a wealthier crwod in this club since drinks are a bit mroe expensive than in the other spots but its really worth it. The club probably fits a good 300 people and its always jam packed on WED, FRI, SAT. I live in Miami so im a bit picky when it comes to night clubs but this a pretty good one. It's not huge or world class but its safe, classy, and lots of fun.

I am not too sure how many clubs there are here, its not like densly packed or anything but there are nice lounges and restaurants thoughout the street. On weekends there are plenty of young people out there looking good times. I recomned you go there and see if you can find a happening place to spend the evening.

The Samborondon Area is where all the big houses and people with money are so there are several nightclubs around that area built to cater to this crowd. There are several very nice nightclubs right when you cross the bridge into Samborondon the one I went to is named "Black" which had a very nice interior but the music was kind of old and tired in my opinion but the crowd seemed to love it, their target customers are people in their mid 30's I guess. There are like 4 or 5 other very nice places in a 2 block radius so you should go there on at least one night to check out the scene.

Guayaquil's nightlife is not very impressive (with a few exceptions), I want there long enough to explore every nook and crany but what I was sub par. The place with the most nightclubs and bars is la Zona Rosa which is about a 3 minute drive from Downtown. there are several fast food joints in the area as well. Some places let you go in for free and then you have to pay between 1 or 2 dollar per beer or 5 dollars per liquor other places charge you $10 dollars cover and they you get an open bar which mean all you can drink beer, whiskey and vodka. I peeked in some places and spent time in one club na,e Praga and well lets just say I ended the night early cause there really wasn't anything there that interest me.

I found out about this club by chatting to a girl in the mall, she highly recommended it and promised she would be there so my brother and I went. There is a$15 Usd charge for men and $12 Usd for women but then you get an open bar, but all the free drinks really suck except for the beer, you are better off paying $3 USD dollars for the good stuff like Chivas. The club is huge and can fit about 500 people, I have to say this is the place where I saw the best looking women in Guayaquil with out a doubt, there are about 4 rooms playing different music and in the main room there is a mix of hip hop techno and reggeton. There are lots of single women there and they shaking it on the dance floor. The club opens at 10:00 pm and closes at about 4:15 am.. Once again there are lots of very very hot women here, at least the night I went. Also the girls seemed quite friendly in the most part (except for the really hot girls, like always they were a bit snobby but a little persistence seems to break the ice). Lets put it this way I went with my brother and he got laid by some random girl who chased me down asking me where was the guy I was with cause she thought he was cute.. 30 minutes later he was on the way back to the hotel. Im not saying it will always be this easy but its possible.
