Stop by some of the other little towns.....

Stop by some of the other little towns to see how people live, taste the food and enjoy the culture. There were a few little towns that we passed on our way to Montanita from Guayaquil like San Pablo, Punta Blanca and others.
My cousin was dying to stop at some of the little stands that they had up along the coast to eat fresh ceviche, fish, oysters....etc...
On the way from Montanita to Salinas we did stop at a little outdoor restaurant. The service was good and so was the food. There were alot of us and they accommodated all of us well.
The food is not only fresh but very inexpensive.

    A side trip to Ayampe

Ayampe is about an hour busride north of Montanita. If you want to escape the hustle, commercialism, and most important of all...the crowds, this is a good place to do it. There is not much to do here. The feeding of the pigs is about the hottest action in town. If you want to surf in waters not clogged with other surfers, try this place....you might have the waves all to yourself.
