    The people wear costumes and dance on the streets. There are big dolls called "Años viejos".
    At 12h00pm ecuadorians burn this dolls. This dolls have fireworks inside.

    Stroll around the old parts of Quito and se the colonial buildings. Sundays is perfect since then the traffic is not allowed in the old town.

    is likely to be the prettiest town of Ecuador with nice colonial architecture. Altough it has more than 200.000 inhabitants it has a very relaxed atmosphere and some good museums.

    Do not ask me why we stopped in this sleepy town in one of the valleys that surround Quito. But it was fun to stroll in its quiet streets and buy some unedible marzipan.
