One of the hottest night spots in Port Stanley!
Always lively on a Sataurday night, even opens on Christmas day.
You will find a friendly crowd and some loud dance music during the evening and a relaxing watering hole during the day.
Dress Code: Don't be wearing your ball gowns unless your part of the wedding party!

For personnel serving at Mount Pleasant Airfield one of the highlights of the tour is a visit by the CSE (Combined Services Entertainment) show. The shows are roughly every six months and usually conprise a comedian/compere, singer/band and dancing girls (see photo .. ahem)
Dress Code: It all depends on whether you are on duty or not, civil servants can wear what they like!

The Fighting Pig band are the Falkland Islands Rolling Stones .. yes that's the best way to describe them. Like the Stones 'The Pigs' are knocking on a bit but can play blues/rock as only people with years of experience playing together can play. The Trough is their club and basically what happens is that news gets round there is to be a gig, announced in The Penguin News (The Islands' Newspaper) or FIBS (Falkland Islands Broadcasting Station). The gig will start around 11:45pm and continues for a couple of hours, bring your own drinks (seriously! .. there's no trouble as the chief of police is one of the band members!) and a good time is had by all!
Dress Code: There is no dress code!

No surprise, the pub life in Stanley is excellent, and due to the lack of taxes, is not as expensive as you may think.
In particular the Rose Pub is a great place to meet the locals, and don't be surprised is everybody know who you are the moment you step into the room.
Cheers.

There are a few pubs around the town of Stanley and they get quite full! As it is usually cold and windy outside, the pubs are a good place to hang out in the evening.

I think the best thing to do in the Falkland Islands after you have had a few in the globe or at dino's would be to look at the southern cross in the sky.
