Iwokrama Mountains Transportation

From Kurupukari River crossing, the Field Station is accessed by boat. There must be an overland access road, as we did see an old Bedford truck at the Field Station, but the track was not obvious, and I should imagine it would be far easier to travel by boat.

From Georgetown, or Surama as we did, the easiest way to reach Iwokrama, is to travel by road to Kurupukari River Crossing. The road is mostly a red logging road, and becomes (almost) unpassable during the wet period.
