Kevin and I enjoyed the zoo, lots of animals to check out. Just be careful on the monkeys and use your common sense as it's possible to be too close to some of the cages.

Take one of the few main roads out up the coast. Cross the Berbice river and meet some interesting folks at the ferry.
must see the zoo the beach the water is pretty dirty but the beach goes for miles make sure you interact with the people visit the street markets
On a lighter note, here's the real deal, a cart drawn by donkeys or mules. Not uncommon in these parts. Though not effected by increased fuel costs, they sure do leave a lot behind...........

Stunningly beautiful workmanship. St. George's is a Catholic Cathedral. I have several more pictures of stained glass, chandeliers and other features but we have other places to see.

The organ pipes are, as you can see, very unusually crafted and quite beautiful. We did not get a chance to hear what they sound like but they are reputed to be very rich in tone.
