Cajamarca Favorites

Favorite thing: I went to Cajamarca "en route" to Granja Porcon an eco-tourism town. The great thing about Cajamarca is to be almost the only foreigner in the area ! The most interesting site is "El cuartero" where, aledgely, the great inca told Pizzarro that he was able to fill a room with gold. He tought that will save his life... it only woke up greed and a violent war.

Fondest memory: I noticed that people walking on the sidewalk did the catholic cross sign. I even saw very young couple do so. It surprise me a bit, especially I wonder why at this actual time. Untill I noticed that most people do that when being in the front of a church. It was the only town where I faced some aggressive begging. It was an old woman, a "campesinos", which means more indian than farmer. She was obviously poor, I gace something, but a white woman, owner of a store started to argue for her to stop hassling. The argument, although only talking, got pretty aggressive.
