  • I truly recommend this shop for their high-quality merchandise. Compared to the wares at the local market (in Aguas Calientes) with its many vendors, this shop gets 4-stars for selling items of way better quality. For some items, the prices here are only a bit higher, but not that much. For example, I compared one jewelry from this store to a similar one from a vendor at the market and the prices were almost the same. There are various silver jewelry selections, many pendants, rings, high-quality looking alpaca textiles as well as other art work.

    Inca/silver jewelry, textiles, cloth wall hangings, and various local items for gifts.

    It depends what you buy. I would say that the merchandise here are of better quality and thus, deserve a higher price.

    If you are looking for Peruvian souvenirs this is the place, as the town is a big street market, with all kinds of items for touritst. Count on a price a little more expensive than in Cuzco or Pisac, but anyway it's a good way to spend your time if you are waiting for the train...

    There are numerous shops here selling everything you could dream of but the main attraction comes from the markets and stalls spread around the town.

    The main fare on offer are souvenirs. You can pick up fantastic jewellery, rugs, art, clothes and Peruvian fake artifacts quite cheaply. If you have just completed the Inca Trail then the mandatory "I Survived the Inca Trail" t-shirt is on offer at numerous places.

    This is the perfect place if you want to stock up on your presents for people back home (or want to treat yourself!)

    I found the prices Ok for what they were. You can bargain with them, but as it's a tourist town they have inflated the prices a little bit.

    There are dozens of shops selling traditional Indian and other items. The colors are amazing. Just be careful - if you show any interest in an item you will find the seller to be quite polite but insistent. It is perfectly okay to bargain - just ask them what the price is and come in with something less but not insulting. If they can make a profit off of what you offered they will probably sell it to you. You walk right through the market as you leave the train station.

    This small jeweler owner shop has been around for more than ten years. I have visited this shop on all of my trips to Macchu Picchu/Aguas Calientes. All jewelry is handmade and if you see something you like, you can probably have it made for you in your precise colors and designs before you leave Aguas Calientes. Marc Antonio and his wife Irma have been developing this shop into a real special place. On my last trip the place was filled with many many shoppers who had to decide which piece of jewelry was correct for them

    Great silver necklaces, silver earings and most with stones such as torquoise and agate. The store has crystals and other local items. Just spend a few minutes inside and check out the prices and you will be ready to shop.
