En la plaza de Armas y rodeada de árboles Pisonay (árboles de coral ) , de Palma y de tres cruces labradas que simbolizan la Trinidad está la iglesia de los Jesuitas , llamada de San Pedro y conocida como la Capilla Sixtina del Arte Andino
Empiezas por el baptisterio en el que se lee "yo te bautizo en el nombre del Padre , del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo . Amen" en cinco idiomas: latín, español, quechua, aymara y pukina . Sigues viendo los murales que están debajo del coro en los que se ven alegorías del cielo y el infierno y a partir de allí te pierdes en los frescos que cubren las paredes y especialmente el techo con figuras geométricas y flores doradas . En el altar de cedro , barroco y dorado se encuentra la virgen del Rosario y unos espejos que reflejan la luz y permitían al sacerdote controlar a la gente mientras decía la misa.

Esta gran construcción Inca , edificada en la parte más estrecha del valle , fue un acueducto Huari que se consideraba la entrada principal al Valle Sagrado y era allí donde se pagaban los impuestos de entrada
