In the Plaza de Armas and surrounded by pisonay (coral tree) , Palma trees and of three carved crosses that represent theTrinity is the Jesuits church of San Pedro , known as the Andean Sixtine Chapel
You start in the baptistery where you can read "I baptize you in the name of the Father , the Son and the Holly Spirit"written in five languages : Latin , Spanish , Quechua , Aymara and Pukina .
You continue watching the murals that are under the choir where you see the Hell and the Glory representations and from there you loose yourself with the frescoes that cover the walls and spetially the roofs with golded geometrical figures and animals .
In the barroque golded cedar altar is the Rosary Virgin and some mirrors that reflect the light and also alowed the priest to control the attendants while he said the Mass

Andahuaylillas: the Sistine Chapel of the Americas

by darthmilmo Written Feb 25, 2003
    Andahuaylillas

The beautiful chapel contains breathtaking frescos, paintings, and a lavish altar. As I had expected, however, the chapel doesn't match the Sistine chapel in the Vatican. Heck, it is not even the most beautiful chapel in Peru. Nevertheless, it is beautiful in its own right and it’s amazing how such a marvel can be built in such a small town.

    Sixtine Chaple of the Americas

    Pretty church

This stretches it a bit but that is what they call this beautiful church and the murals are spectacular. A great example of Smanish Religious art mixing with Inca craftsmen.
