Another restaurant has taken it's place but didn't seem to offer Cuy on the menu. 2 doors down ( toward Plaza de Armes) was a nice little restaurant that offered Cuy, Alpaca, Trout etc. Price for Cuy about 2/3 of going rate on the menu's of big tourist restaurants on the Plaza.
Favorite Dish: All three main dishes were excellent. The "Crow with Cheese" turned out to be Corn with cheese, so don't get to excited about another unique dish.

Does exists two Kusikuy branches, one is the restaurant and the other is the cafe-bar.
We were every mornings at the cafe-bar Kusikuy located on the Garcilaso st. 210 (beside the hotel Los Andes Best Western ).
Great breakfasts and extremely hospitable people. The place is cozy, a bit bizarre too, with a sui generis decoration mixed with the traditional incaic look.
Don't miss.
Favorite Dish: Sandwich Cusqueño, strong, on an onion basis, perfect to fight against the height illness (sorroche)

Nice atmosphere, near the heart of the city without the hussle of people outside shoving menus at your face. Good prices and good food.
Favorite Dish: My favorite is their homemade mash potatoes and the chocolate cake.

This restaurant's name means "happy little guinea pig" in Quechua. It serves mostly Peruvian dishes and its speciality is cuy (guinea pig) I wasn't too keen on going here, but Christopher read about it, wanted to try it and insisted upon it. It was a nice restaurant with good service, but for me the choices were limited. Chris did enjoy his cuy , said it tasted like.....chicken and consumed almost the whole thing! I did get my revenge by dragging him to a vegetarian restaurant the next night! :-)
Favorite Dish: I just ordered a side of french fries. Well, I guess this is kind of Peruvian, since this is where potatoes originated ! :-)
