The buffett at the San Augustin Hotel in Urubamba, Peru gave both my son and I food poisoning within 6 hours of eating there. We think it came from cream based dishes. We required multiple visits from the hotel employed doctor and intravenious feedings. We were sick for 3 days. The hotel manager did not accept responsibility for the problem and told us it was "alititude sickness" even though we had medical certification from the doctor indicating gastro intestinal infections, had been in Peru for over a week and had not been ill previously and were taking Diamox.
Obviously we would not advise eating there and would like to warn other travelers!

It seemed that every restaurant in Ollantaitambo had the same menu, as if they were in collusion, so we picked the place with the best view. Great terrace facing not only the ruins but also the setting sun. It was a great place for a late afternoon beer!
Favorite Dish: They had one concoction which used what seemed everything on their menu and heaped it on rice. It tasted a lot nicer than it sounded and I got it because it was the biggest thing they had.

This place had great service and reasonable prices. (beerwise as well)
The second day we were here we were waiting for our bus, the lady at the bar helped us out very well.
