Do not throw rubbish in the dunes
Favorite thing: Huacachina is surrounded by beautiful sand dunes. They look great from afar. Yet, when you climb them you will find rubbish spoiling their beauty.
In particular visitors seem to be throwing empty drink cans and the little plastic bags containing the wax for their sandboards wherever they happen to be.
Be responsible, put your rubbish in the bin back at your hotel, not in the dunes
Where to hire a dune boogie??
Favorite thing: If you wish to take a ride in the desert, up and down his uncountable dunes, simply walk troguh the small village of Huacachina, you will be stopped a lot of times from some guys asking you if you are seeking for such experience.
Usually all the excursions starts from the Hostel in the middle of the little city...Just walk there...
Take a light pullover with you in the desert
Favorite thing: It seems that it was pretty hot at the time we took the picture, isn’t it?! Yes, it is true...
But you gotta consider that after the sunset it starts to get cold, and it got tremendously cold within half an hour, and i guess you will not feel confortable with only a t-short...
So, simply bring a pullover if you are about to go in the desert for few hours...amnd clearly...also a cap would be a great idea!!!
Favorite thing: This place is incredible! A pure oasis in the middle of beautiful sand dunes, just 5-10 Km from Ica (about a 4-5 sole taxi ride, less than $2). It is a good sized lake surrounded by beautiful palm trees and flowers, with a walkway around the lake. Hoteles, hostals, restaurants, shops and homes surround the lake. No cars needed here. It is just delightful.
Fondest memory: My son and I had the best time here. We biked, swam in the lake, rent paddle boat riding. At our hotel (Mossone) we swam in the beautiful pool, played foosball, water soccer and basketball, and ping pong. My son Fredy went sand boarding. We climbed the sand dunes and watched the most beautiful sunset ever. Many people also take dune buggy rides. My son and I became so much closer here. I will never forget this place

impressing sand dunes
Favorite thing: the highest sand dune in southamerica is near to Nasca and reaches an altitude of 2000m. These dunes around Huacachina are not that high....but I neither would like to climb up a 2000m high "mountain" to do surfing by feet.....
Magical landscapes sorounding this amazing oasis!
Favorite thing: The desert has so much to offer. Some people may look at it with a hald-empty attitude and say there is nothing but sand and hot weather. In my opinion, desert sceaneries offer some of the most amazing sceaneries out there. Huacachina is just that and mroe. Imagine a town, sourounding an oasis with palms and all... then imagine the sand dunes, tall towering dunes ranging several hundred meters in height. It's just amazing! It surely takes your breath away.
Fondest memory: Watching a clear sunset from atop the highest Sand Dune.

Favorite thing: I like to watch people, observing what are they doing when traveling. What are they eating, talking and bringing.

Favorite thing: Palm trees provide shadow. These make the dessert lively with shadow and the color of 'green' make you feel comfortable.
- National/State Park
Favorite thing: Huacachina not only famous with the dessert, the architecture of the building here are beautiful and worth to be seen.
