    The spelling situation...

sort of a terrible photo at night

A quick little bit of info: via VT this town is spell NAZCA, yet in the town itself it is spelled NASCA. I've seen both spelling around the internet while i was researching the place before i went. I think it is important the spellinf NASCA while in Peru because that will give you a better chance at finding the place!

    Tip your Pilot!

    Our cool pilot!

The pilots that do the tours are fantastic! They are more or less bi-lingual (spanish & english). They are very good at telling you which side and when each drawing is coming on the tours. They provide excellent angles for taking photos. Over all i thought our was just funny and helpful!

I'd say 2-5 soles is an average tip!

    Yum Pisco

by staindesign Written Aug 12, 2009

In case you are unaware, pisco is a name of a town in Peru. I'm assuming that it might be where pisco was first made/invented. In Nasca, by a local, I was told that there are 4 main producers of pisco. All the locals recommend Gracia as the best brand, using uva italia.

At the Casa de Pisco, you can try several different piscos. The store opens at 6.30pm. A bottle of the best quality of pisco runs about 56 soles, but I found it on a side street liquor store 42 soles. The second best quality runs at 30 soles all over. If you do a little leg work you can find a better deal!

A research Center next to Plaza de Armas. Here you can see another status of Maria Richie opening both her hands and run towards the dessert.
