Favorite thing: the seals were so cute to watch.
Respect to the phenomen "El Niño" the poblation of animals in this region is very fluctuent, in "normal" times there are millions of fishes that give enough food to all other animals, but in "El Niño" times, when the direction of the Humboldt stream is changed the fishes stay far away from the coasts what means great problems for animals and human beings.

Favorite thing: Las islas Ballestas are also called "little Galapagos" because of the comparability.
Here you find protected seals , sea lions and a lot of penguins and of course a lot of sea birds. You go by boat, it´s not allowed to enter the island. Very beautiful nature scene.
