This is a good place to relax and see the beach life. Surfer´s and people just walking around the pier, is a good option after the visit to the archeological sites of Trujillo.
This place is situated juns on the beach, some tables are really on the sand. To the sea is some meters. Here you may look the beach life and waves when having beer or marico food. When going inside there is a market place where you may buy all kind of things.
"Casa Suiza" is a hostal in Huanchaco (near Trujillo/Peru) which got many good recommendations in guide books. The rooms are OK and the price is fair.
However, I can only warn people to go there or at least to be _very_ careful. We spent 3 nights in that hostal. On the second day someone entered our room while we were on a tour, broke a locked backpack, searched it and finally exchanged 400 Soles to false money.
We protested about that at the hostal staff and at the owner. From one staff member we got the information that there has been a similar case some time ago. However, the owner did not offer any reasonable reaction up to date.
The fact that the owner is currently trying to sell the hostal does not provide any optimism for a good solution.
