In Trujillo there are many places for dancing, like discotecs, pubs ,peñas (just peruvian music as festejo, etc),karaokes, ... it depends of how u want to spend ur night: dancing, drinking, or just watching and eating.
Mecano Bar is a discotec and bar, that most of the young people and not too young like to go in order to spend a nice night. It begins since Thursday (they call juergues de Mecano). For me this day is better to go than Friday or Saturday, here in Mecano.
All kind of music like pop, rock, merengue, bachata, salsa music, for dancing all night.
Not crowded, people and place is good.

There are a lot of casinos in Peru - they allow gambling. I have only seen the outside of them. This one is on the main square in Trujillo. I thought at first it was a hotel.
The internet says: Palacio Royal Trujillo is a Casino in Trujillo, La Libertad, Peru and is open daily 24 hours. The casino's gaming space features 101 gaming machines and one table game.

In January, Trujillo celebrates the La Marinera contest. A local dance, very beautiful and elegant. It depicts the sailor, who is leaving to go to war (the war against Chile in the 1880's), saying farewell to his lady.
I love to watch this dance.
In the Club La Libertad, one block from the Hotel El Paraiso, people dance to the music of a live orchestra every evening from 7 pm. Children as well as adults. Open air.
Entry fee is just a couple of Soles.
The Marinera from Trujillo is considered the best (other cities, departments also have a La Marinera dance).
If not in Trujillo in January, this dance, among many others, can be watched in many "peñas", such as Brisas de Titicaca in Lima.

If u don't like loud music, in instead u want to be in a place where u can drink and eat with ur friends ,listening to singers(80's music, rock,etc)in a confortable and nice place , so u can choose one of them:
