A face-lift has been done on the entry to Chorrillos from Barranco, showing water fountains and sculptures well illuminated at night.
(Unfortunately I had not the opportunity to look closer at this by day time.)

Avenida Huaylas is the main street that goes through Chorrillos. At my last short visit in July 2004 there were great public works going on. The Huaylas was being repaved, new fences were set up.
Note also the time typic street light, that gives an image of a time in the beginning of the 20th century. The neighbor district of Barranco is famous for its artists and poets. Also Chorrillos has a famous historic background, maybe this is a start to make it known ...
(Do not mix up Barranco with Barranca, that is a nice village north from Lima).

Chorrillos is situated south of Miraflores and Barranco and forms the other end of the Lima bay.
Behind me - I am sitting on the wall at the Malecon - on the picture is the beach of Chorrillos. The waves are smaller here in Chorrillos, because of the piers of Club Regatta, which lies to the left outside the picture. Club Regatta has their own beaches, which are not open to the public. (correct me if I am wrong)
