Parque Kennedy is a little park surrounded by restaurants and bars that marks the center of your Lonely Planet Miraflores map. Among the things that surround Parque Kennedy are: a Chifa, an alley with lots of bars, a racist ice cream shop (see my other tip), various fast food, an ATM, lots of cabs, a Brazilian restaurant with lots of yummy drinks, a Swiss restaurant, and some nice drunken teenagers who offered us a light. Oh, and this pretty little church.

This is nice mall build on the cliffs over looking the Pacific Ocean. The mall have some descent shops etc, but the best thing to do here is to go for a nice romatic stroll or to sit down for dinner at one of the restuarants with seating built on the cliffs sticking out. It's a little on the pricey side, but even if you are on a tight budget, it's worth sitting down for at least a nice afternoon tea. There is also a movie theather in the mall.

Nasca or not Nasca
Parque Maria Reiche - this is a new park established in memory of Maria Reiche who discovered and worked on the Nasca Lines. Some of the most well known of the Nasca drawings are picked out in flowers and are also outined in lights at night.

Brisas del Titicaca:
Else, as Marissa suggested, take an evening city tour. Or go to Miraflores (if you're not already staying there) and walk around the Parque Central/Parque Kennedy-there's a local crafts market every evening from 5 pm and walk up the Av. Petit Thouars with its many shops.
Around said Parque many restaurants: El Parquetito, La Tiendecita Blanca, Cafe cafe, Haiti, La Tranquera (3 blocks from the Ovalo on Av. Pardo).
Larco Mar shopping center with many restaurants and view over the Pacific.

District Of Miraflores: Larcomar
This is an outdoor mall. Larcomar is nice but americanized. For example there is a Hooters here. Which made me not like it very much. It was very expensive for South America. There are a few night clubs here which aren't bad but it is much better in Barranco for night life. It is right on a cliff facing the beach with amazing views. It is pretty safe to go at night if that is what you are worried about. This is a great central meeting place though. Overall it would be nice to stop here if you had 4 days in Lima but if you are only in Lima for a couple days you really shouldn't waste your time. There are many more cultural palces and better nightlife places to go to. However, if LIma is the first place you are visiting in South America and are trying to stay away from a Culture shock its not a bad place to go as starter place.

Check out the Pacific Coastline
Some people are dissapointed at the lack of a good beach, but I prefer a rocky, windy, cliff-lined coastline. There's something very majestic about it, and the views are nice.
Alot of shopping, dining and beautiful parks/views
Visit the parks overlooking the ocean! Laco Mar has a great view, movies, bowling, alot of shopping and great dining!
Parque de Amour
This is where all the lovers in Lima come to kiss. It is a beautiful location overlooking the ocean. It can be very romantic.

Walk at the coast
Walking at the coast of Miraflores gives you some nice view. Also saw a nice park which reminded me a bit of Park Guell in Barcelona (not as impressive as park guell but still nice)
Pacific ocean view from LIMA
I live in JAPAN. It's the first time for me to look at the Pacific ocean from the opposite side.
Here is near Miraflores district.
