  • Chinese Restaurant

This place does not offer only chinese food, but Peruvian, too, made a little in Chinese style. Place is very delicated, and still not expensive, for instance a beer is 6 soles (quite normal price). There are many favourite dishes:- chichonfan con verduras or lomo- ensalada de pepino con calamar picante- filete de pollo con tausi a la plancha-...

Miraflores Transportation

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Taxis are very easy to find, litterally almost at the door step.
    Minimum fare is 3 soles.
    Miraflores-Surco : 10 soles
    Miraflores-Barranco: 6 soles
    Miraflores-Airport: 20 soles

Each time we took a taxi we knew we were putting our lifes in their hands, traffic is chaotic and dangerous, the rule is "go as fast as you can"

Miraflores Shopping

There a thousand silver jewelry places in Lima but I really liked this one because it was different. The rings are gorgeous and the prices are really great for one time only designed stuff. It’s at the Inka market in FRONT of Hiroaka(there are two Inka markets in Miraflores), right next to a huge computer place. It’s called USC Joyeria and it’s towards the back, near Av. Arequipa. It is a great find after being in Cusco for a month where stuff was really expensive!

Miraflores Tourist Traps

  • by Ceciliac Updated Jan 17, 2006

The standard of the chinese food has changed a lot since I last came to Peru.
Never, ever go to the chinese in Comandante Espinar near Pizza Hut.
Food is horrible, wine is foul and the staff incompetent and agressive.
There's another chinese restaurant where the food is really not top quality, in the corner of Benavides with Schell (big restaurant)

Unique Suggestions: There are happily still some good restaurants like the one in Larcomar.

The wind are steady and the parachutes are "standing still" for a long time. It was nice to look at.

  • La Isla San Lorenzo - seen from...

There are two islands outside Lima. The greatest is San Lorenzo. It is located just outside Callao and was earlier restricted area (but you can nowadays reach the island by boat I have been told).

  • Visit the beach side at Miraflores

At the old road that goes down from Miraflores to the beach, grass and plants are growing. This forms a heavy green protection over the sand and stone and makes the hillside very nice looking. The beach side of Lima - specially in Miraflores - is a sight you never forget. It makes you want to come back another time just to look again.(on the photo...
