When in mancora head to the CHICHERIA, it is where the famous chicha is served. Chicha is a fermented corn drink typical to Peru. Go with some locals to the chicheria and the chichera( lady who makes the chicha) will give you some cebiche for free with your bucket, enjoy!!

Take a look at that big number of vultures you see in and around Mancora and Punta Sal.
When you´re walking alone in this desertlike ways it makes you a bit frightened.
You can imagine the horrible feeling of being lost in a desert with vultures around you.

If you like to spend some days at the beach in the sun with more than 35 °C I can recommend you Mancora or Punta Sal next to it. You won´t find a lot foreign tourists, only peruvian tourists, a lot......
