on June 8, 2007I went to the doctor who gave me the prescription for the pills. I'd also suggest calling your doctor even if you don't need the pills. Mine gave me a whole bunch of info, something to counteract potential diarhhea, and 3 shots. They know a lot about what you need or won't need.
If you do take the pills, you are more susceptible to sunburn. And since you're at 10000 feet anyway, you are closer to the sun, and can burn easily, so bring some sunscreen for the nose, arms and ears.
