Soccer in the Amazon?

by epicult

Peruvians love their soccer. No matter where you go, a soccer field is not far away. This one, we found in a small Amazon village is typical. No better place to 'get your game on' then in the Amazon! Hiking boots, gators, shin pads and your own soccer ball.

Horse Riding in The Sacred Valley.

by dosser

I was going to see a few sites around the Sacred Valley by bus but while visiting Sacsayhuaman met a local who did horse treking. His farm you can see from the far end (opposite end from the entrance) of Sacsayhuaman. For a few dollars it was a great day getting away from most of the tourists and visiting some sites in the Valley , even though it did rain for most of the day! Raincoat !!

Tennis in peru

by pianomany2k

Playing tennis in Peru can be a great experience. If you play in Lima you can have the whole pacific ocean as a backdrop. The club Terrazas in Miraflores sits right on top of the bluffs overlooking the beach far below. From there you can see the surfers loining up to catch their waves and the occasional parasailor gliding by overhead. The locals are quite friendly and there is almost always someone you can play with. If you are in Cusco playing tennis is more of a challenge. At an altitude of 10500ft the ball tends to fly and your heart tends to pound. It makes for some great memories, however. Just bring tennis racket and shoes.

Table football

by SirRichard

Soccer is a very popular sport in Peru. If you don't find the chance to play a game, at least you could try in one of these mini football tables that you can find in some bars and billiards.
