No picture - Pas de photo by Maillekeul The "boleto turistico" allows you to visit the church, but it's Chinchero's market that you have to come to visit, actually. A very typical one... Leave a Comment

No picture - Pas de photo by Maillekeul Aguas Calientes, as you have to know it, is the closest city to the Machu Picchu site. You can go to the site by walking (you will hate the stairs, after that) or by bus (but you will arrive later than those making the Inca Trail as the first bus to leave is at 6.30 AM). Ask your way before going there... Leave a Comment

One of the landscapes - L'un des paysages by Maillekeul Basically... Unbelievable. I hope you will have a good weather there, and that you will enjoy the landscapes. If it's not the case when you arrive, don't hesitate to stay one more day as the weather is changing quickly here... En fait... Incroyables. Leave a Comment

Electricity Day In Manazo by catalysta The band marched and played and drank and marched and played all night long, as a part of the traditional way of celebrating whatever there is to celebrate. Then the next day, they cratered! Meanwhile, everyone not too hung over to show up was in the town square the next day for the big ceremony to light the town for the first time ever, with the power from a gas generator. It was quite an honor to be there for what to the locals was a momentous day in their history! Leave a Comment

El Nino At Wedding Feast by catalysta "It is fascinating and somehow very satisfying to me to learn that for all their Christianization, Pacha Mama the earth goddess has survived intact. Other gods were dropped along the way, or the Jesuit missionaries transformed them one by one into equivalent Catholic saints. But Pacha Mama wasn't subverted into a feeble virginal travesty; she IS HERSELF, and she must still have her due! Leave a Comment
