visit Colca Canyon. Colca Canyon is located to 180 Km. from Arequipa. The erosion of the Colca river forms a canyon of 70 Km. of longitude and it's the deepest in the Earth: 3,000 meters. I made a tour for 2 days and one night at Chivay for 20 dollars with Colonial Tours agency (Address: Santa Catalina 106 / Arequipa). I didn't have any problem. The tour included transfer, a lodging night at Chivay, breakfast and bilingual guide.

visit Santa Catalina's Convent in Arequipa. It was founded in 1579 and occupies 20,000 m2. In their interior there are three patios and two museums. The small streets inside the convent take names of Spanish cities as Seville, Granada, Cordova, etc. At the beginning there were ten young women. In 1970 the convent went open to the tourism, after 390 years. The ticket costs 12 soles and with a guide (that is the most advisable thing), you'll pay what you can/want. You can see the rooms, the laundry, the clothes that the nuns dressed and the elements for self-flagellation, too! In the new part of the convent some nuns still live today.

Ticket: 5 soles) and the Founder's House (Ticket: 5 soles).

Inca Trail, path of purification.I dreamed about the Inca Trail since two years before I did it for the first time, this was why the night before I couldn't sleep too much, and at 6 am I was awake, ready to leave the city and start with my dream, this time, not only in dreams. The 1st day: no way back.We got to Qorihayrachina, a train stop at Km 88, and in front of us was the bridge where the Inca Trail starts. After 4 hours of walk we reached the Wayllabamba camp at 9,840 Ft or 3,000 Mt above sea level. We couldn't continue with the hike because the skies were close, and it started to rain. This gave us more hours to rest, but we left for the next day too much road and we had to reach the highest point of the trail. The 2nd day: the never end climb. We woke up early, but it didn't help us to much because to reach the skies you have to cross the hell…After 5 hours and a half, we reached the...
