This resort town has beautiful beaches and a mild climate. Summer temps are in the high 70's(25-32C) and the winters are never below freezing. The beaches are clean white sand and the water is very pretty.

Drive back and forth over the W-shaped bridge, just for fun. The bridge is only a few minutes from Punta del Este. It is one of the remarkable feats of engineer Leonel Viera.

When it is high tide the black drum comes looking for schools of crayfish. The small lake near the bridge is a good place to fish for them.
