Located just across the street from our hotel we ate here twice and loved it both times. We tried the homemade pastas and pizza..all delicious. Itsa cozy place with nonstop music videos.
It is here I discovered medio y medio, amixture of champagne and wine.I really got to like it and at $5.00 for 384 ml....no wonder.

I have written about Don Peperone in a previous tip; that restaurant is located at Montevideo Shopping Center, but this one is a new one, situated at Ciudad Vieja: bigger, and with a more varied menu.
The place is located at a recycled old mansion, with an excellent decoration; there you can have lunch, tea or dinner; on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday nightes there is live music.
Favorite Dish: There you can have the traditional pasta and pizza (which are the specialities of Don Peperone), but you also have a salad bar and parrillada.
I recommend the parrillada with a red wine (a Tannat by Don Pascual it is pretty good) and apple pancakes with ice-cream (as usual!!!) There are another tempting desserts, as tiramisú and profietroli.

Don Peperone is a pizza restaurant (actually, it is a chain of restaurants); I do like the one situated at Montevideo Shopping Center, and it is a frequent option for my friends and me: cinema and Don Peperone. This one is a small place, nice and cozy.
Favorite Dish: Pizza! Crunchy, mouth-watering, aromatic, tasty pizza...
¡Pizza! Crocante, apetitosa, aromática, deliciosa pizza...
