I don't know what they call this statue but there seemed to be offering left here by passersby.
It had something to do with the sea, I am sure.
We saw it beside the beach on the road between La Paloma and La Pedrera.

I noticed every where that we went in Uruguay, kids were walking around in white lab coats.
They also had a scarf tied in a bow, around their neck. The bows were in different colors around various schools. So that must have been the school color or something like that.
I have never seem a school uniform like that in any other country.
