You could visit Cabo Polonio, 4WD tours are arranged in La Paloma.
There is no road in so the only way to get over the huge dunes is to walk, by horseback, or by 4WD truck.
Once you arrive you will find that there is no electricity there either.
During the summer months you will see many sea lions suning themselves on the rocky shore.
There are huge golden sand dunes to the east that can be seen from the main highway, route 10.
This is the place for people that really want to get away and enjoy a primitive lifestyle.

Just 2.5 miles away by a two lane paved road is the beach town of La Pedrera.
The road through town ends at a steep, grassy hill that overlooks the beach.
There are steps that lead down to the shore.
During late winter/early spring this is said to be the best place to watch for the right whales on their journey south.
We were to early to see the whales and to late to get a meal. Most all restaurants close at 3pm and don't open for dinner until 9. I think most of the restaurants here were closed for the season.
