    Arepas
    by ezaguryk
After a long night in a nightclub, dancing, wedding and drinking too much............

The typical local custom is to go to an AREPERA (place that sell arepas cachapas etc...) to eat

Yes at 4:00am you will find non spot to seat since all people there.

They are open 24 hour and they are safe, some of them that you should go EL BUDARE, EL GRANGERO DEL ESTE, LA CASA DEL LLANO

Note: If you do not know what is a Arepa please check my Venezuelan typical food AREPA

La Union is a street where in the evenings bunches of people drive up to. Doors open, music on maximum volume, friends dancing together by the car, loud laughter, drinking... Basically a collection of small group gathering forming one big party on the streets! This isn't legal but it doesn't harm anyone (there are no residential houses on that street) and the police doesn't seem to care too much. The street is pretty much on the top of a hill which makes it great to party in the open, tousand lights benethe you, big bright moon above you. It's something you have to experience!

This is an all surfing bar. When inside, it seems as though you actually are on the island Samoa, getting ready to ride the waves! They even built a huge sequoia tree inside the bar to make it look like the island. This is one of the coolest bars I have ever been to! An absolute MUST, even if only for the exotic cocktails you can get!

If you would ask me what is special about "El Leon", I wouldn't know what to answer.. It's just a simple terras with white plastic tables and chairs. Just a good place to unwind with some friends and a cold beer, after a busy day. Every now and then some street performers pass by to do a little show or promote something. You can also order snacks and pizzas here. Everything you need to calmly end an evening!

You could go wearing a garbagebag, nobody cares what you wear there!

You shouldn't miss "Centro San Ignacio" in the urbanizacion (neighborhood) "La Castellana" . You'll find the best night life in town there.

There are also great restaurants all around La Castellana and Altamira, two "urbanizaciones" that are side by side.

Another place you should go is "Plaza Las Americas", very nice too, although it's filled with high school and college students (Centro San Ignacio is more "adult").

Other places to go at night are "El Hatillo" (a small town near Caracas) urbanizacion "Las Mercedes" (be careful here, it's not very safe) and urbanizacion "Los Palos Grandes" . Go to this last one especially if you love sushi, since it has a lot of vey neat japanese restaurants.

    12:31: Party till noon!
  • Tip Rating:

  • What makes this club different from all the other ones, is the fact that i closes EXACTLY at 12:31... at NOON! Party go-ers, get here pretty late, you pay admision to get in, with which you get a bottle of liquor (Venezuelans like to have a good drink) and kepp partying until noon. The inside is very modern, with very cool seats where you can lounge out if your feet get tired, a dancefloor with black lights, loud hip music and lots of action going on. Even if you don't want to dance, you'll have a great time watching the dancers! The music played here is mostely reggeaton and HipHop/R&B. The public varies between ages 16 (with fake id) to 25. W

    Dress to impress!

Here it's the terras that makes it special. It's outdoor (obviously) but there is a roof over the terras; seating consists of big puff and low tables decorated with candles. Very comfi! As you slouch in the puffs, you have vieuw on a big screen hanging high above you. They project big events or music clips on this screen. So if you would run out of things to talk about, atleast you have something to stare at ;)

I wouldn't rcommend short skirts or dresses for the ladies, it's not very handy to sit in a puff when wearing that!!

  • San Ignacio is the place you want to go to if you want to party with the wealthier Caracans. In this area, the drinks in the bar are also more expensive and you will see the most incredible lignes to get into certain clubs. Girls flirting with the doorman so he will let them in, guys trying to pay them... I found it funnier to observe this secne from a short distance then actually being a part of it...

  • This club called "The Flower" didn't steal it's name. Inside the club, the walls and cealing are covered in flower print. Very different! I was told this club has been in Caracas since the 70's. Guess we know where the inspiration came from hunh?! In this club you wil find couples and groups of friends mostley , 30+, which occational exceptions ofcourse. This is a good place to dance salsa, merengue, reggeaton, bachta... Great fun!

Doesn't really matter what you wear, it's kind of dark on the dancefloor, but ofcourse, you always want to look your best when going to a club, no?

  • The name of the bar says it all; this bar is a reggea bar. The vibe is very relaxed, people chatting to one another, map of Jamaica painted on the wall, cubic seating puffs, green, yellow, red ans blue lights. If you are at all into reggea, you must not skip this place!!
