It's a small town but very cozy.
There are several handicraft shops with the nicest things!
The day I was there there were some performers in the Plaza Bolivar....
And seemed like a very family thing to do on Sundays, just to hang out on the square, have some coffee in the nearby cafés...

If you love Venezuelan arts and crafts then go to the town of Hatillo(maybe 30 minutes from El Centro). There is a shop there called Hansi. It has handcrafted items from all over Venezuela in one place. The town itself is beautiful.
El Hatillo is a small village only a short drive from Caracas centre. This quiet place is a part of the city.
