  • Care when you go across the streets. It sounds like a parent advise but they drive really crazy and I saw two accidents just in one day.

  • Tip Rating:
  • When you are on a cruise, the Cruise Director and the general Port Information gives you ample warnings about the same old common sense things. People still get robbed, still have pockets picked, we just do not worry about this sort of thing. My old advice, walk tall, look people in the eye and smile. Talk to the raunchiest guy on the street. Never forget where you came from.

    AMAZING!!!
To leave of purchases, to eat or to dance are routine things that you can carry out in this city. Many restaurants, from halta gastronia to the acquaintances "hot dogs" the culture caraqueña is a species of "meelting pot" where any travesura is possible.

Parque del Este - NOT what you where told
Well I decided to venture out on my own to nearby Parque del Este. I heard so much good hipe about this place.. that there were animals such as exotic birds (including the only condor in latin america), etc. The park is FREE.. so that was good. I am from TEXAS, so I was desesperate to see GRASS.. All i saw was building after building so to get back in touch with nature.. I headed to this park. However the only animals I saw where ugly pigeons eating on crumps on the floor. After 30 minutes of circles around the park... and seeing old ladies exercise, I got bored and headed back home. PARQUE DEL ESTE is NOT worth your time. There is a little zone of plants that is very nice... with giant cactus and plants alike.. but again, IT IS NOT WORTH IT. (unless you have all the time in the world in ccs)

JOG. Seems to be.. a good place for jogging and exercise.

Instead of Parque del Este, you should try EL JARDIN BOTANICO.. or just walk around the UCV. UNiversidad Central de Venezuela. These two are right next to each other.
