Day Trip to Mochima Islands
CLillard Says:
My favorite thing to do there is take a boat trip to the Mochima Islands. It included snorkeling, trip to several different islands, lunch, and we saw many dolphins jumping in the water. Departs 9 am returns 4 pmWe go by the Cave de la Virgen. The first beach it stops at is...
Watch a $2USD movie at the cinema
CLillard Says:
These movies seem to be released just as fast as in the U.S., yet these movies only cost about $2 USD (5000 VEB) at the cinema in Puerto La Cruz. Some movies are offered in English and some in Spanish.
Maremares Hotel Marina & Spa
1 Review and 19 Opinions I had heard a lot of bad things about this hotel. How it used to be a really nice resort and has...
Hato Real Grill: Good steak
CLillard Says:
The have very good steak here. It is a family owned restaurant and the beef comes from their ranch (in Venezuela somewhere).
Sourdough Sports Bar & Restaurant: The Best Hamburgers in Puerto La Cruz
CLillard Says:
I have another tip for this place under "nightlife". This is primarily a restaurant. They have a few TVs, but they're too small for people to seriously watch sports there. At around 10 pm on Wed, Thurs, Fri, and Sat they have live music. They play mostly salsa and merengue,...
MVP: Sports Bar and Restaurant
CLillard Says:
This is a good restaurant and a good bar. They also have fast service on slow nights. We were able to have dinner there in under an hour, which is fast for Puerto La Cruz!
The steak there was really good. They also have good martinis (cosmopolitans).
Afrodisiakos: Nice lounge
CLillard Says:
This lounge is a nice place to go to talk with friends. It's not too loud, so you can still hear each other. They have indoors and outdoors seating. They have a DJ (on Fridays for sure) that plays house music. This is also a Peruvian restaurant
Brew Brothers Pub and American Bistro: Another Nightclub/Restaurant
CLillard Says:
We went here for dinner and it seems like a pretty nice place. We didn't stay for the nightlife, because it wasn't a busy night (there was another concert happening the same night). Keep in mind that Bambuda Bar is the most popular place and on busy nights Brew Moon will...
Dejavu: Nightclub with 2 Rooms
CLillard Says:
One Saturday we went here and it was really crowded (2 dance floors open). We went here on another Friday night and it wasn't very crowded at all (only one room was open). They have a nice outdoor patio area by the water. One of the dance floors plays a mixture of music:...
Bambuda Bar: Up-scale Club near Hotel Maremares
CLillard Says:
This was the best club in Lecheria. I am the kind of person that likes to try different clubs. But in the end, I preferred to just spend every night (Wed, Fri, Sat) here. You can go anytime for dinner, but the club doesn't get happening until 11 pm. That is the case for most...
La Mania Sports Bar and Music: Salsa and Merengue Dance Club
CLillard Says:
It appears to be a 30-something crowd with also some 20-somethings. This club is actually right next to Bambuda Bar. It is located next to the Golf Course (Campo de Golf). This place gets happening around 11 pm on Wed, Thurs, Fri, and Sat nights. I went in this club twice to...
Go to Lecheria: Bambuda Bar, the best in town
Carguja Says:
people from Puerto la Cruz and visitors go to Lecheria for fun at night. The best place in town is Bambuda Bar, the most beautiful people of the place are there. I was there during "Copa America" and even the professional soccer players used to go there for fun and more...
Sourdough Sports Bar & Restaurant: Live Music
CLillard Says:
This place is primarily a restaurant. They have a few TVs, but they're too small for people to seriously watch sports there. At around 10 pm on Thurs, Fri, and Sat they have live music. they play mostly salsa and merengue, but a few other types of songs as well.I like...
Barcelona airport is now International (BLA)
diver_carlos Says:
The Barcelona-Anzoategui airport [BLA is the airport code] is now offering internation flights. Viasa has flights directly to and from Miami plus there are several destinations in the Caribbean and more on the way. It's more expensive than CCS but it's SO nice flying into...
Bus
georeiser Says:
The road is good between Puerto La Cruz and Caracas. Long distance bus is a cheaper way to travel. In my case the bus took longer time than expected due to an engine failure on the bus. We had to wait an hour to change bus.
Domestic airline
georeiser Says:
Domestic airlines is frequently used to Puerto La Cruz from Caracas. And the price is not to expensive. Also some charter companies travel here.
All Restaurants Serve Italian Food
Helpfulness
CLillard 209 reviews
You will find that you can't really classify each restaurant. Shambar serves sushi and italian. Sourdough serves Texmex, burgers, pizza, and italian. Bambuda Bar serves sushi, thai, chinese, japonese, and guess what ITALIAN. The Mediterranean restaurant serves Greek food and italian. You get the point. They have really good risotto in Venezuela, their Italian food is just really good.
