Just getting there was half the fun, through a dirt road passing la Casa de Las Garcia. The place was magical,. Beautifully iluminated with candles surrounding a pool, the noise of the river close by. We ate a delicious meal not pretentious but excellent preparation. I ate a Dorado *local fish, with honey and soy sauce and grilled vegetables..just perfect! The owner was a nice lady, always asking how we're doing. Romantic and quiet but still can go with the whole family.
Don't expect rush

This restaurant is open only at night and if you go very late you will have to wait in line for a table.
They have all sorts of seafood dishes, and also some chicken ones. The portions are really big, so make sure you're very hungry.
It's a bit more pricey than the rest of the places in Choroni, but so worth it!

Guarapita is an alcoholic beverage made with fresh fruit juice (like pasion fruit or coconut) and "aguardiente". It's perfect to drink at the beach!
They sell you the whole bottle, so buy some plastic glasses.
Beware! Guarapita is not very strong tasting, so you'll feel like your drinking pure juice.... up untill you try to stand up and find yourself back in the sand. So, drink it slowly.
