You won't believe you're eating an icecream this good in this little town. It's owned by two italian ladies that make the icecream and also work behind the counter. It's always full at nights, specially during the high seasons.
My favorites are pistachio and bacio. Hmmmmmm!!

Take a "peñero " in Tucacas to get around Morrocoy. A "peñero" is a small boat owned and driven by a local that will take you to any "cayo" (key) you want. If you find other people who want to share the boat with you , the fare will be lower, since you pay for the whole boat , not for each person.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Use a cap or a hat !!!!! you don't now what being under the sun is until you've been here...
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: If you don't want to end up like a lobster , wear sun protection ... this is a "must" .

My partner asked the imparque where to do kite surf and they say it's not allowed because can be a problem for the nature! ....but all the motor speed boat are allowed and they put the anchor on the reef!
We asked to the lancheros that told us it's not true: there is a place in CHichi where they rent the stuff and take u to the best place: Cayo Varadero.
If u need the stuff ask to the big with Hotel in Playa Sur.
He did kite surf in this area only during week ( we was 6 peoles) and he diden't touch the reef....!
What is better a power engine of a seed boat or the sound of the surf on the waves?

Favorite thing: There are all kinds of beaches in the keys of Morrocoy: isolated, crowded, large, small... you'll find the one that fits you ! Just rent a "peñero" (local small boat) and ask the guy who drives it to take you to one of them.
